Records show Masons have been meeting in Big Bear Valley since at least 1889. The lodge received its Charter on October 25, 1925. It is the highest elevation Lodge in California, the first to receive it's charter in it's own building and as far as know is the only Lodge that is open on a daily basis, weather and manpower permitting.
